Job Summary

To implement, maintain and improve manufacturing processes, machinery and tooling as directed.

Position Title: Sales Representative

Reports To: Sales Manager

Job Summary:

  • Primary Objective: Support of Sales Manager and Sales Department.
  • Secondary Objective: Support Marketing/Advertising and Administrative Staff as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Secure orders from existing customers by means of personally visiting the account or via telephone.
  • Secure new orders from potential customers by personal visiting or by telephone.
  • Increases sales volume through direct- sales efforts by assisting sales reps in the field.
  • Cold calls on dealers, qualifying as to dealer needs; holds meetings with dealership department heads and sales personnel to explain programs
  • Conduct follow-up service calls to all accounts to ensure they are satisfied with all agreements reached during sales approach on a regular basis.
  • Deal directly and in person with any problems that may occur on behalf of an account.
  • Must act as intermediary in case of any problems, disrupting or complaints lodged by any customer or account against a sales representative
  • Provide territorial sales forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and attain monthly as well as yearly sales goals and strategies.
  • Perform all assigned duties with a minimal amount of supervision from the Sales Manager.
  • Conduct all business transactions in a manner that coincides with the high ethical standards that the company maintains.
  • Develops independent agent business; develops and implements marketing and advertising strategy; maintains effective budgetary controls of sales expenses; maintains files of in-house and competitive programs.
  • Must call on major accounts on a consistent and thorough basis.
  • Must be able to create, develop, and oversee marketing surveys to plot out campaigns.
  • Must work with locals and national sales representatives on new promotions.
  • Oversee accounts and provide supervisory assistance in case of any problems, emergencies, etc.
  • Stay actively informed of all marketing and sales activities of GPK’s competitors.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Assists when necessary with claims problems.
  • Utilizes expense account with prudent judgement.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%).
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Reasonable math/statistical/numerical/reporting skills.
  • Ability to handle and enjoy working for department as opposed to single individual.
  • Strong organizational skills for self and others.
  • High degree of self-motivation.
  • A valid drivers license.
  • A good credit rating for a credit card.


Hours of work:

  • To be determined by Sales Manager on an individual basis according to sales territory.
