Job Summary

Operator accurately cuts PVC (plastic) pipe into segments within a + – 1/4″ accuracy.

Reports to: Leadperson

Responsibilities

Operator accurately cuts PVC (plastic) pipe into segments within a +- 1/4″ accuracy
- Clean pipe prior to cutting.
- Transfer pipe on to rack.
- Setup machine using established procedures.
- Set up stop bar for correct length and safely cut pipe into segments.
- Communicate any problems found with the machine or PVC parts used to leadperson.
- Accurately record the completed work on the production sheet.
- When warranted, create a “work tag” and attach to the product completed.
- Clean up work area as needed and at the end of the shift (10-15 minutes max).
Follow Safe Operating Procedures and General Safey Rules.
Other duties assigned by management.

Essential Function

Standing for long periods of time
Lifting up to 50lbs, occasionally more.
Able to read, understand, and follow instructions, warning labels and postings.
Bending and stooping – at the waist and at the knee.
Must be able to measure within 1/8″.
Must be able to count.
Must be able to walk to various other stations within the department with product or various weights.
Must be able to use electric and air tools.
